Joseph E. “Joe” Phillips, 78, of Lonoke, passed away September 10, 2017, at his home.



He was born August 16, 1939, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Galloway and Geneva Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Joseph Phillips, Jr., seven brothers and two sisters.



Joe worked for N.O. Nelson, Crain and Consolidated Pipe and Supply. He loved to sing, play music with his friends and go to the lake whenever he could.



He is survived by his children, Jimmy (Toni) Dyer of Malvern, Wesley Phillips (Trudy) of Lonoke, and...

He is survived by his children, Jimmy (Toni) Dyer of Malvern, Wesley Phillips (Trudy) of Lonoke, and Belinda (Hans Christian) Mortensen of Lonoke; five grandchildren, Jason, Amber, Ashley, Michael Dale and John; twelve great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; and one sister, Martha Angeles of Florida.



Visitation will be Wednesday, September 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and funeral services Thursday, September 14, at 10:00 a.m., both at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock. Interment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
